UNICEF es la encargada de impulsar que los "partners" en el terreno compren y distribuyan alimentos terapeúticos y en particular Plumpy Nut, con el apoyo de la FAO, de ACNUR del PMA y de la OMS y el fundador de Nutriset André Briend "oficer" de la OMS. Después de esta reunión la compra de Plumpy Nut se duplica, Nutriset vende 15ooo toneladas y tiene perspectivas de vender 50 ooo toneladas de un producto patentado por ellos tan sencillo que se hace en una cocina cualquiera. ¿no será una casualidad?...¿El hambre un negocio?....
¿Cuándo tuvieron reuniones para evaluar la posibilidad de desarrolar productos locales de misma eficacia? ¿ Cuándo se reunieron para analizar las causas reales del hambre en el mundo?

Supply including new ready to use therapeutic foods (RUTFs) and micronutrient powders and pastes
Links to other clusters/sectors in the field
For implementation it is important to work with the national structures and clusters where they have been initiated. Of significance are the Clusters of Health;Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; Education and Logistics. In addition, various NGOs work with the cluster on a area and technical area basis. The Nutrition Cluster is working in at least four pilot countries: Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Somalia, Uganda

The selection of products hampers response especially in the area of the recently developed special foods such as Ready to Use Therapeutic Foods and Ready to Use Supplementary foods.
